Peri Lynn is a seasoned strategist and sought-after thought leader who brings years of executive leadership, crisis-management experience, and proven results in developing advocacy and communications initiatives for social change. Prior to launching PLT Strategies Inc., she held the positions of Chief of External Relations and Strategy at the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools and Senior Vice President of Communications and Knowledge Management at the California Charter Schools Association as well as executive-level positions at the Fresno Unified School District and San Diego Unified School District and the American Red Cross. Peri Lynn is a volunteer with Angels Foster Family Network (a foster agency that her husband leads that supports infants and toddlers in foster care) and a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) degree from Carleton University and a Masters of Science in Executive Leadership (MSEL) from the University of San Diego in addition to her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) from the Universal Accreditation Board. Peri Lynn and her husband, Jeff Wiemann, have formed a blended family in La Mesa, California, with three adult children in college who attended a mix of traditional district and charter public schools and a school-aged child who attends a virtual charter public school.

Emily brings expertise in the field of education communication and advocacy to support organizations endeavoring to improve the lives of kids. She first cut her teeth in public education managing communications for Pittsburgh Public Schools through an initiative of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Upon moving to California, Emily joined Capitol Impact, supporting education clients working statewide to improve educational equity, including the CORE Districts and their successful request for a federal waiver under the No Child Left Behind Act. Emily later joined the California Charter Schools Association where she went on to lead the communications team responsible for public affairs, media relations, crisis communications, and digital strategy. Most recently, Emily was an Account Director at Larson Communications, managing clients including The Education Trust-West, the California Center on Teaching Careers, and Aspire Public Schools. Emily earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Penn State University and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Pittsburgh. She lives in Folsom, California with her husband and teenager.

Victoria has been working in K-12 public education for over 10 years. As a Latina, first-generation college student, and daughter of immigrants, Victoria deeply believes in the importance of a strong public education system. Before joining PLT Strategies Inc., Victoria served as Chief Public Affairs Officer at the Massachusetts Charter Public School Association (MCPSA), where she was initially responsible for building MCPSA's first in-house communications department. Prior to joining MCPSA, Victoria served as the Chief Public Affairs Officer and Senior Director of Operations for UP Education Network in Boston, the first of its kind in-district charter management organization in Massachusetts. Victoria also has professional experience in government and finance and served as a Program Officer for the Office of Management and Budget during the Obama Administration. In 2005, Victoria co-founded a multimedia storytelling project called the Border Film Project. Victoria holds a B.A. in Political Science from Boston College, and an M.P.P. from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Victoria enjoys gardening, yoga, and Star Wars. She lives in the beautiful Ocean State of Rhode Island with her husband and two young children.

Olivia has been working in K-12 education for more than 10 years and wholeheartedly believes access to a quality education should be a fundamental right for all students regardless of zip code, income, or ability level. Her professional commitment to education began when she joined the New York City Teaching Fellows as a high school science teacher at a school for multilingual learners. From there, Olivia joined the National Association of Charter School Authorizers (NACSA) where she led grant writing and management responsibilities for a multimillion-dollar portfolio of foundation grants. Most recently serving as the Chief Operating Officer of the New Jersey Public Charter Schools Association, her passion lies in helping to develop the systems and processes organizations need to do their important work. Olivia has experience managing multiple grants from the US Department of Education—totaling more than $65 million—to catalyze the growth of high-quality public schools and disseminate best practices in education across the country. Today, she works with her clients to implement fundraising strategies to build new long-term relationships with potential donors and sustain current donors—creating new collaborations and partnerships to raise revenue. Her bachelor’s degree comes from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). She also holds a master’s in education from the Relay Graduate School of Education in New York City. Olivia recently moved back to the Mitten State and lives in Grand Rapids, MI with her husband Drew, son Charlie, and cat Sauce.
